About this series "Contemporary Art Vision" : As an introduction, I would tend to think that there is nothing to say because everything is to see. But I'll still give below several features of the approach and presentation. The videos in this series show scenes of everyday life interpreted or perceived through the codes of Contemporary Art. This is not a vision of Contemporary Art, but a vision through the Contemporary Art. They are also classified here following the typical components of Contemporary Art (Performance , Installation , Conceptual Art, etc.) However, this classification is not exclusive, some videos could be classified in several of these categories. The videos are captured live, the subject and/or the location is filmed as is, with very few post-production (just some cuts). The sound is the original one, without any addition. My intervention predominantly in the choice of subjects, the framing, and the successive shots. In a way, this is "ready made" video. Visually, I avoid some artificial sophistication in favor of direct and simple plans. For this set of videos, we could say it's "casual art" (which does not mean nice or superficial). There is an interaction between the filmed subject and the selected prism. The subject gives to see possible forms of contemporary arts. For example, the contemplation of a white screen cinema (fortuitously broken down) seen as "conceptual art" (video). Reciprocally, the Contemporary Art codes bring a perspective on the subject (by the distance, or the expected results in terms of staging or sensations). For example, a cardboard being used as a bed for an homeless shown as an "installation" (video). Probably my vision is distorted by my appetite for artistic creation and its various forms, but I like seeing in everyday life, and everywhere, situations and objects that have an artistic form and potential (particularly with regard to what is called Art in its contemporary form). Also, I question what is art?, What is its intrinsic substance?, On what basis does one define a "work of art"? Sometimes when I go to some exhibitions, I find the Contemporary Art effect (particularly with mediation that accompanies it) a little overplayed compared to what is presented. So, this series makes a few a caricature or humor with respect to certain artistic trends At the same time, I think all the various forms of Contemporary Art sharpen our feelings and our curiosity about what surrounds us and inspires us.
